We were shocked, shocked and saddened by last week's downfall of former governor Eliot Spitzer. And we're concerned about what message the entire tawdry episode sends to the rest of this great country of ours. By great country "of ours," of course, we mean New York's--because, let's face it, New York pretty much rules in comparison to the rest of America, which takes a really long time to fly over on those wretched occasions when we have to go to Los Angeles. It's one of the crosses we bear, though, just part of the turf in having to basically run the whole county.
